In the spirit of dedication and partnership, Mr. Karlen understands the diverse and intricate needs for legal services that are demanded by owners of businesses. His commitment in the field is highly regarded by his many clients and business organizat ions, including the Westchester Chamber of Commerce which appointed him in 1995 to serve as vice chair for Small Business.

Licensed to practice law in New York, Connecticut and Florida, Mr. Karlen represents businesses of all sizes in the areas of business formation, transactions, planning, real estate and litigation.

As a frequent lecturer and author on the law, Mr. Karlen regularly shares his experience with the business community and professional colleagues. He has addressed seminars conducted by the New York State Small Business Development Center, the Internat ional Association for Financial Planners, and the Westchester County Chamber of Commerce on topics of importance to business owners. In addition, he serves as cochairman of the Westchester County Bar Association's Corporate and Commercial Law Committee.

Mr. Karlen received his J.D. from New York Law School and his Masters in Corporate Law from the New York University School of Law. He began his career as an attorney with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, followed by years of pract ice with prominent regional law firms before forming his own practice in 1993.
