The raw concepts in this book have transformed my outlook on life, love and business. Brett Harward turns our world upside down with some utterly unique views on well-worn self-help topics such as time management, accountability, relationships, failure and self delusion. He invites us to take our work and our family life DEEP instead of spreading ourselves out. One of the most electrifying concepts presented by Harward is a new take on creating value in business and in relationships. His “value quotient” concept is one of the most original and effective pieces of business philosophy I’ve seen since Seven Habits by Stephen Covey. I’m not sure that there are only five laws that determine all of life’s outcomes, but the five that Brett Harward hits in his book are definitely big ones in the matrix of a successful life. The book is concise, lean and packed with great stuff. It’s a little read with big impact. Bravo!

Excellent book, very well written and with very good experiences that illustrate the message the author wants convey. However very unfortunate mistake when illustrating what a Spanish Conqueror did. His name is Hernan Cortez, not Hernando Cortez . Furthermore, this conqueror did not arrived to the Yucatan Peninsula, he arrived to the shores of what no is the state of Veracruz in Mexcico. Please review this in the next edition

“The 5 Laws That Determine All of Life’s Outcomes” is an amazing book. Brett explains his concepts in a very easy-to-understand kind of way. He backs up his ideas by integrating many applicable stories into the book, which makes it both informative and interesting. His concepts gave me a very different perspective on life–how I see myself, others, and how I can get more of what I want and stop doing the things that lead me away from what I want.I was very impressed with the way the author used personal mistakes as learning examples throughout the book. It made me more open to looking inward and deciding how I could improve myself through his insights. Very inspiring!

Brett Harward provides the reader with a practical road map for success in business and in life in his easy to read and very enjoyable book. I have read thousands of self development/business books, and I have even written my own self help book: How To Choose Happiness…Most Of The Time: 30 Ways In 30 Days. His book is one of the best books on success available; I highly reccomend it!

Brett has been a welcome “ghost partner” in my businesses for years, giving good advice through video, audio recordings, and personal presentations. Sometimes I expect him to show up at family barbecues, but no… Listen to him: Brett truly has a knack for helping you achieve clearly-defined expectations of value in a simple, four- or five-page written plan. He wrote for me a napkin business plan of this book concept back in 2007 (still have it), but now he actually wrote the book. He causes this same process of perfection to focus back on you, the driven individual, by igniting your forward motion… only to help you up when you ‘fail faster.’ Up/ down/ up/ down isn’t a perfect process, but it sure beats up/ down… and out. Ultimately Accountability and Leadership spring from self-policing course corrections. He has done it again. Bravo, Brett. Well done.
