THE BOOK IS 2 INCHES THICK 8 INCHES LONG AND 6INCHES WIDE. IF YOU ARE GOING TO CALL THIS A POCKET SIZED BOOK, MAKE IT SO IT FITS IN A POCKET. ON THE COVER”PORTABLE AND PRECISE, THIS POCKET-SIZED GUIDE”. IT MIGHT BE THE BEST BOOK ON THE MARKET, BUT I’M NOT LUGGING A FULL SIZE BOOK AROUND. SORRY

At the time of this writing Windows 7 is to be released in about 10 days. I’ve looked through the book while working with Windows 7 Release Candidate and the book has helped me find what I’m looking for. However, to call this a “Pocket Consultant” makes me wonder as to the size of the author’s pockets. This isn’t a small book, but it’s very useful.

I am a strong believer in the adage “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. Seeing as my XP Pro is working just fine, I’m reluctant to make the transition to Win7. If and when a compelling reason to migrate surfaces, I think I’ll stay where I am.

I have purchased all of the Stanek Windows guides and find this one just a good as all the others. Highly recommended.

It’s not exactly ‘pocket sized’ unless you are a kangaroo, but that’s not the vendor’s fault. The book is in excellent condition, arrived on time, and A1Books informed me of order processing and shipping via email.
